The China States and Capitals

China is the world’s most populous country, with a population of more than 1.3 billion people! It’s also one of the oldest civilizations in the world. And it has a long name: The People’s Republic of China. But because there are so many different provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities within its borders, we’ll just call it China for short. Let’s look at some of the China states and capitals!

Anhui Province – Hefei

The first province on our list is Anhui, and its capital city is Hefei. Anhui is located in the eastern part of China and is known for its beautiful scenery. The province is home to Mount Huang, one of China’s five sacred mountains, and the Yangtze River, the longest river in China.

Fujian Province – Fuzhou

Next is Fujian Province. Its capital city is Fuzhou, and it’s located in the southeastern part of China. Fujian is a very mountainous province and is also home to several beautiful coastal areas. The province is well-known for its seafood, especially its crabs!

Gansu Province – Lanzhou

Gansu Province is located in the northwest part of China state. Its capital city is Lanzhou, and it’s famous for its Silk Road history. The province is also home to many of China’s minority groups, including the Hui and the Uighur. and it’s well-known for its beautiful scenery, especially the Hexi Corridor.

Guangdong Province – Guangzhou

Guangdong Province is located in southern China state. The capital city is Guangzhou, which is also known as Canton. Guangdong is the most populous province in China and is also one of the most economically developed. The province is home to several large cities, including Shenzhen and Hong Kong.

Guizhou Province – Guiyang

The capital of Guizhou Province is Guiyang. This province is located in southwest China and is known for its beautiful landscape. The province is also home to many different minority groups, including the Miao and the Zhuang.

Hainan Province – Haikou

Hainan Province is located in southern China and is the smallest province in the country. The capital of Hainan is Haikou. Hainan is a very mountainous province and is also home to several beautiful coastal areas. The province is well-known for its seafood, especially its crabs!

Hebei Province – Shijiazhuang

Hebei Province is located in the northern part of China. The capital city is Shijiazhuang, and it’s famous for its Silk Road history. The province is also home to many of China’s minority groups, including the Hui and the Uighur. Hebei is well-known for its beautiful scenery, especially the Great Wall of China, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Heilongjiang Province – Harbin

The capital of Heilongjiang Province in Harbin. This province is located in the northeastern part of China and is known for its cold winters. The province is also home to many different minority groups, including the Manchu and the Koreans. Heilongjiang is well-known for its beautiful scenery, especially the Harbin Ice and Snow Festival, which is one of the largest winter festivals in the world.

Henan Province – Zhengzhou

The capital of Henan Province is Zhengzhou. This one of a china states is located in the central part of China and is known for its long history. The province is home to many of China’s famous historical sites, including the Shaolin Temple and the Longmen Grottoes.

Hubei Province – Wuhan

Hubei Province is located in central China. The capital city is Wuhan, and it’s known for its hot summers. The province is also home to several different minority groups, including the Hui and the Manchu. Hubei is well-known for its beautiful scenery, especially the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River.

Hunan Province – Changsha

The capital of Hunan Province is Changsha. This China states province is located in southern China and is known for its beautiful mountains and rivers. The province is also home to many different minority groups, including the Zhuang and the Miao. Hunan is well-known for its delicious food, especially its spicy dishes.

Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region – Hohhot

The capital of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is Hohhot. This autonomous region is located in the north of China and is known for its beautiful landscapes. The region is home to many different minority groups, including the Mongols and the Kazakhs. Inner Mongolia is well-known for its beautiful scenery, especially the Gobi Desert.

Jiangsu Province – Nanjing

Jiangsu Province is located in eastern China. The capital city is Nanjing, and it’s known for its beautiful canals. The province is also home to many different minority groups, including the Hui and the Zhuang. Jiangsu is well-known for its delicious food, especially its seafood.

China is a vast country with many different provinces and regions. Each province has its unique history and culture, which you can explore by visiting. The capital cities of the provinces are also worth a visit, as they offer a glimpse into the life and culture of the people who live there.
